The MTL MTL5573 is a compact single-channel galvanically isolated temperature converter belonging to the MTL5500 series of intrinsically safe isolators, manufactured by Eaton MTL Instruments. It converts low-level temperature signals from RTD or thermocouple (THC) sensors installed in explosive hazardous zones into standard 4–20mA analog outputs for safe-side DCS, PLC and recording equipmentAlibaba.co....
This unit provides full 3-port galvanic isolation between hazardous sensor side, safe control side and power supply, eliminating ground loop interference and transient cross-coupling. It supports software-configurable linearisation, sensor ranging, fault diagnostics and cold junction compensation (CJC) for thermocouple inputs. The narrow 16mm DIN rail form factor enables high-density cabinet installation, with certified intrinsic safety approvals for Zone 0 / Class I Div 1 hazardous locations in oil & gas, chemical and pharmaceutical plants. Integrated sensor failure detection outputs configurable upscale/downscale NAMUR NE43 out-of-range signals for alarm logic systems.
